Mad Social Scientists.

We've all seen mad physicists with their death rays, mad biologists with their blasphemous un-natural life, and so on, but what horrors might a musicologist gone wrong inflict on an unwitting world?

It seems like an easy enough panel to put together -- get a few social scientists who can be amusing about their professions, and let them go.

We need another example.

You know what's weird? My instant response was "Have you read The Snowball Effect, which makes me think yes, it would be a good panel. Then thinking about that, I remembered the musicologist gone wrong story by Ballard in the same collection (Aldiss ed Penguin SF stories) which was some of the first SF I ever read.
